Who are the main characters?

The main characters in our music video are two young ladies both played by me and my partner Izabell. We intended on representing that we were the artists of the album (KP&IZ) who star in the music video. We chose to have two female leads in order to represent female dominance and power considering most EDM genre music videos consist of females only being used for sexualised purposes, therefore challenging the status quo.

Copyright permission

In order to get permission for the use of our chosen song in our music video, I emailed my chosen band's (Galantis) manager as well as the second band (East&Young) who also helped produce the song, in order to allow me to full permission to use the song without any copyright issues. Luckily both the manager agreed and we could then press on with developing and planning for our music video.

New plan for music video

We have now come up with a second plan for our music video. This plan has similar concepts and themes such as love and friendship as the first idea however without a narrative. We have decided to not include as much of a storyline for our second idea however instead is more of a montage of videos which stand as a representation of youth. These will be small clips placed together to pull together one story, so will have similar colour schemes and lighting to maintain the continuity. We ideally would like to film in a number of locations which will most likely be more time consuming however extremely important in order to keep the music video interesting to the viewers.
