How we changed the saturation

Firstly Starting off with the original footage, after editing and cutting down to how much time we needed, I clicked on video adjustments to enhance the colour and saturation.

Secondly I increased most of the footage by between 25/50 percent, to not give it an overall fake look but modifying it to sit better in the views eyes.

Lastly I decided which colour stood out the most within the footage, for example in this footage I chose the colour red due to it being the carousel's mostly anticipated colour, this way enhancing the colour and making it stand out more to the audiences. Once again enhancing the gain by between 25-50 percent. In some scenes I would use a mixture of the red/ green/ blue gain, depending on what the images depicted and the colouring involved. For example for some scenes involving mine and my partners faces would appear abnormally orange after enhancing the saturation, however by using a mixture of the green/ red/ blue gain afterwards gave our faces a less harsher look and more mellow undertone instead.

Lighting & Editing

As our AS production does not have a particular story line, we have instead highlighted more the lighting and colours included  in the footage as well as editing to the beat thoroughly. To improve the colours as well as lighting, we have played around with the saturation tools to make the images appear brighter and bolder. Editing to the beat has particularly meant using fast paced clips and changing them exactly on the moment the bass drops.

Above, is an example of where we increased the colour of the footage to be more 'green' in order to match the colouration already in the imagery, furthermore making it stand out as more eye-catching.
